4moms has proactively worked with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to recall about 2 million MamaRoo swings, and 220,000 RockaRoo rockers. When the swing or rocker is not in use, the restraint straps can dangle below the seat and crawling infants can become entangled in the dangling straps, posing a strangulation hazard.

Consumers with infants who can crawl should immediately stop using the recalled swings and rockers, place them in an area where crawling infants cannot access, and contact us via phone or online to receive a free strap fastener that will prevent the straps from extending under the swing when not in use.

2017 4moms self-installing car seat Voluntary Recall

4moms, in cooperation with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in its self-installing car seats manufactured between July 1, 2016 and October 31, 2016. This defect is estimated to affect 2% of the 1,622 car seats manufactured during this time.

At 4moms, the safety of our consumers and their children is our top priority. We take safety very seriously, and when we recently learned of a potential issue with our self-installing car seat, we took immediate steps to investigate.

During our investigation, we discovered a potential issue with the infant carrier’s coupling hooks – the hooks that lock the carrier into the base. In some carriers, the coupling hooks have been improperly riveted, potentially causing them to stick and fail to attach to the car seat base. This defect has only been observed after extended use and testing, and there have been no reported injuries.

To determine if your 4moms self-installing car seat is affected, click here.

If affected, we will replace your carrier at no charge.

While you are waiting for your replacement carrier, you can use your current carrier once you’ve manually checked that the hooks on the carrier lock into the base. To confirm that the carrier has locked into the base, lift up on the carrier handle to ensure it’s secure before every ride. Click here to watch how this is done.
